This on-line temperament typing indicator test was originally designed in the 1930's prior to the test developed by Myers-Briggs (Myers Briggs). Two American psychiatrist physicians at Stanford University Medical Center, Drs. Horace Gray and Joseph Wheelwright were students of Jung and Jungian analysts. Their 3 letter Jungian temperament type test was once the American standard for typing. In 2002, Dr. Winer modified the test's 81 questions to calculate a 4-letter type Myers Briggs temperament profile.

However, Dr. Winer was dissatisfied with the results because of lack of correlation with the standard MBTI (Myers-Briggs Temperament Indicator) test. In May, 2006 I completed a thorough reworking of the type test questions to be more compatible with the Myers Briggs and Keirsey test results. Dr. Winer reduced the number of questions to 70 and will be acquiring data to validate the test's 4-letter typing reliability.

This test is copyrighted and may not be used for any profitable purposes. The test is offered free-of-charge on this website only. Links to this test may be obtained upon written request
